The strike at CP – Portugal’s incumbent rail operator, and Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP – the country’s road and rail infrastructure manager), has forced the cancellation of at least 385 train services today, with 163 trains operating until midday, according to a source from CP – Comboios de Portugal. The workers of CP and IP are striking for the second of two days, to demand a financial premium to compensate for the loss of purchasing power in 2022, explains Lusa, adding that strike adhesion by workers is said to be in the region of 80%.
