Searches continue for couple presumed lost at sea

Searches are continuing today for a couple in their 60s who are believed to have fallen into the sea at Póvoa de Varzim on Friday while they were out walking with a female family member. The body of the family member has already been recovered from the water. It appears the trio may have been dragged into the sea by a wave. Nothing is clear (authorities were not even aware two people were missing, until the husband of the family member who died realised he was unable to get in touch with them, and that this means they may have been in the company of his wife before the tragedy).
