Search for missing man continues

At the time of going to press, the search for a26-year-old man, who disappeared from his home in Quarteira on December 31, focused on the area of Beliche, Sagres, where his Volkswagen Polo car was found abandoned and parked near the beach with his driving documents still inside. He has not been seen since leaving the house where he lives with his mother and wife and buying €40 worth of petrol from a nearby garage. A sea and land search by maritime police and the GNR had failed to establish his whereabouts.
