Consumers wishing to check the price of fuel at various petrol stations in Portugal can visit the Direcção-Geral de Energia e Geologia website www.precoscombustiveis.dgge.pt and search for cheaper fuel (os mais económicos) per council.
Although the website is only available in Portuguese, it is easily used by non-Portuguese speakers due to its user-friendly tools.
To search per council, just click on the district you want, for instance ‘Faro’, and then select the function to see council areas (ver mapa com os municípios deste distrito).
