A juvenile seal was found wandering Mareta beach in Sagres on January 4.
The animal, which was collected by the maritime authorities following a call from a member of the public, is being cared for by the team of biologists at Zoomarine’s Porto d’Abrigo wildlife rehabilitation centre in Guia.
The seal was reported to be in good health and plans to release it back into the wild are yet unknown.
