Twelve restaurants are serving special seafood dishes this week as part of Armação de Pêra’s new gastronomic event, ‘Semana Gastronómica do Mar’.
The idea is to showcase the town’s fishing tradition and the best seafood it has to offer by selling delicious dishes at local eateries.
Besides enjoying the meals, restaurant-goers are also entitled to a ‘passport’ that can win them a weekend stay at a hotel, as well as tickets for this summer’s Silves Medieval Fair.
There will also be musical entertainment over the weekend at the restaurants, provided by the Grupo Etnográfico Amigos do Montenegro, as well as closing show on Sunday (June 12) at the town’s fortress from 9pm.
The event is organised by Silves council.
