Seafood celebrated on Olhão

Olhão’s Seafood Festival from August 10 to 15 promises to attract thousands at the Jardim  Pescador Olhanense in celebration of gastronomy inspired by the sea.

The festival includes a vast programme of entertainment with live music each night and several eating places serving seafood specialities at reasonable prices in a traditional Portuguese ambience.

Some of the music highlights include the sounds of Queen on Fire, a Queen tribute band, on the first day, famous Portuguese rock band Xutos e Pontapés on August 11, Pedro Abrunhosa on the 12th and Portuguese singing sensation Tony Carreira, who is likely to attract the largest crowd, on August 13.

The doors open at 7.30pm each day, with tickets costing €8 for adults and €3 for children aged seven to 12. Children up to six years of age enter for free.
