The 10th Scruffts Dog Show on September 20 will be opened by Lagoa Mayor, José Inácio Eduardo.
Algarve FM radio show host Ian Reddin will be returning as Master of Ceremonies and Main Ring Announcer for the event that will be held at the Fatacil grounds in Lagoa.
Representatives from UK based company The Natural Dog Food Company will also be present to give advice and information on feeding natural food to dogs.
Registration for entrants starts from 10am with the judging classes from 11am after the official opening.
Prizes for the judging classes will be supplied by Paws4Pets, this year’s main sponsor of the dog show.
Also attending the event will be photographer and Algarve Resident contributor John Oliver who will offer pet photo portraits at a studio at the show with instant prints available to purchase.
For those intending to enter their dogs in the classes, up-to-date vaccination papers are needed and must be available for inspection by the vets for the show. Dogs born after January 1, 2008 and all dangerous breeds must have microchips.
