In what appears to be a tragic case of sudden death, the wife of a scrap metal dealer in Vila Nova de Poiares (Coimbra) was found dead earlier this week on her husband’s dumping ground.
According to news reports, Lucinda Martins Dias – known locally as Ducha – was first thought to have died following a work-related accident, but this has since been discounted.
She was found by her husband who rushed her to the local health centre, where she was pronounced dead. A spokesman for the local GNR said the 53-year-old appears to have fallen ill suddenly.
