A Scottish tourist, believed to be in his 60s, died on the main avenue of Praia da Rocha (Portimão) on Tuesday, July 15, at around 2am.
Eye witnesses said the man, apparently under the influence of alcohol, had just walked away from an argument with a woman when he suddenly fell down, hit his head on the pavement and went into cardiorespiratory arrest.
Passers-by tried to revive the man until the INEM emergency services arrived, reportedly 20 minutes later, but he didn’t survive.
