Scottish residents have been delighted by the launch of three new weekly summer flights into Faro Airport from Scotland. flyglobespan, Britain’s fastest growing low fares scheduled airline, are now flying regularly into Faro from two Scottish cities: Glasgow, twice a week, and Edinburgh, one day a week. Earlier this year, the company announced the largest ever expansion of direct international scheduled air services in Scottish aviation history with the launch of a massive summer campaign.
Tom Dalrymple, the chairman of flyglobespan, is delighted that his company’s expanded schedule will regularly link Scotland’s cities with one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. He told us: “The Algarve has always been a great favourite with Scottish holidaymakers and that appeal seems to be growing by the year. I am not in the least surprised that passenger numbers and enquiries have been very encouraging since we started our summer programme. Advance bookings have been very good on all routes and I expect that by next spring we will have flown one million passengers on our Scottish programme.”
flyglobespan fly Faro-Glasgow every Wednesday and Saturday and Faro-Edinburgh flight every Saturday. Visit www.flyglobespan.com for prices and flight details.
