School’s out

British MP, Richard Caborn, has questioned the decision to remove the word ‘school’ in favour of ‘place of learning’ at a new primary in Sheffield.

He said: “I am always open to new ideas but I just don’t think the case has been made to drop the word school to place of learning.”

The head teacher of the new school, Linda Kingdon, has claimed that the removal of the word school is part of a new approach to learning.
