Schools up and down the country will be closed again tomorrow (today they were closed for the All Saints Day Bank Holiday) as teachers and educators hold a national strike, with a protest outside parliament. The protest has been timed for 3pm, to coincide with the speech education minister João Costa is due to give, defending the budget for his sector next year. Syndicates insist the budget is yet another that fails to invest enough in the country’s education system.
