School directors call for ‘Covid-style’ exams this year, meaning no 9th year ‘provas’ or other tests

School directors are calling for exams this year to follow the rules of the last couple of (Covid-blighted) years – meaning 9th year ‘provas’ which involve a lot of revision/ work/ organisation, as well as tests for the 2nd/ 5th and 8th years, can be dispensed with once again. Hopes of the national association of State school groups are that exams this year will simply apply to students accessing higher education. A decision will come in March, explain reports.
