Staff from Faro airport and hotels in the region took part in an emergency training programme on July 24 at the Santa Maria Hospital in Faro.
The appropriate use of a defibrillator was one of the aspects addressed in the workshop.
The 40 trainees will now be able to identify the signs of a heart attack and how they should act to rescue the victim.
