Rock and roll music, colourful costumes and fast moving action will mark the upcoming performance of Jorge in Wonderland, a play written and performed by the Aperitivo Performance Group.
The play picks up where Alice left off and sees young Jorge the dormouse making a spirited attempt to try and get out of the teapot in a performance that sees a very mad March Hare and an even madder Hater.
Designed to be a comedy for all ages Jorge the Dormouse is played by a Portuguese actor while the Mad hatter is Dutch, Tweedledum and Tweedledee are German, the Walrus is Argentinean and the laid back caterpillar is from the Alentejo. While the performance s easy to follow, there is sure to be confusion on stage.
Performances of the show are scheduled to take place on November 18 and 19 at the museum in São Brás from 7.30pm with a further performance on November 24 from 8pm at the Casa do Povo in Moncarapacho.
