Saturday’s Covid bulletin records no deaths in Algarve, Alentejo, Madeira or Azores

Portugal’s death rate from Covid-19 is plummeting. Today’s bulletin recorded no deaths in the last 24-hours in either the Algarve, Alentejo, Madeira or Azores.

The largest number of deaths (and new cases) was recorded in Lisbon (16 deaths, 331 new cases), followed by the north (four deaths, 210 new cases) and centre (six deaths, 125 new cases).

Hospital internments are down by another 160 patients to 1,416, of which 363 are in intensive care.

The country’s active case count is now down to 62,299; the number of recoveries in the last 24-hours not far from 2,000.
