Round thirteen and Albufeira Cats continue their merry way with another convincing victory, this time over the Pedras Panthers.

Cats ran up 83 points to the Panthers 34 and took the full eight points to stay out in front of the pack. Alvor Greens played twice this week, firstly beating Crusaders earlier in the week in a postponed match by 63-45 and eight points.

Then they entertained stablemates the Gladiators and ran out winners this time by 62-30 and pocketed another eight points, to maintain the pressure on the Cats.

Valverde Vulcans had a good home victory against the Tavira Tigers by 62-52 and earned five points to three.

Amendoeira Nuts also recorded an excellent home win over the PDF Sinners by 54-29, to take a welcome eight points.

PDF Crusaders have a very tense and tight game against the Alvor Amigos, edging a narrow win by 50-49, but the Amigos split the points four apiece.

Amigos had also played a postponed match earlier in the week and defeated the PDF Sinners by 63-45 and by six points to two.

Valverde Vikings are having an excellent season and took on the Alvor Harlequins who are also showing consistent and winning form. Harlequins overturned the Vikings by 67-57 and took away six points to two to leap over the Vikings into third place once again.

Cats now lead with 82 points, however the Greens have closed the gap to just one point in second with 81. The Cats do have a game in hand however. Harlequins rise to third on 64, equal with the Vikings  who have an inferior shot difference in fourth.

Crusaders move up again into fifth on 58, Amigos have 53 and Gladiators remain on 52 points. Panthers have 50 in eighth, then come Tigers on 35 and Sinners on 26. Nuts lift off the bottom after their good win today and are eleventh with 26 points. Vulcans drop into the basement with 25 points, despite a good result themselves today.
