Crusaders Conquer Vulcans – Gladiators Spear Cats

Round four of a very close and very open campaign saw PDF Crusaders thrash the Valverde Vulcans by 77-23, taking all eight points and leaping from eleventh to seventh in the league table on Sunday October 30.

Meanwhile, PDF Sinners continue to struggle, losing at home to the Valverde Vikings by 54-44 and by six points to two. Alvor Harlequins travelled over to Tavira and won convincingly by 57-39, pocketing seven points to one and improving their league situation.

Amendoeira were home to the Pedras Stones, Pedras winning in style by 62-36 and taking home six points of the eight while the Cats surprisingly lost at home to the Alvor Gladiators with the Gladiators winning narrowly 52-50 and excellent performance at fortress Albufeira. The points were split four apiece.

In the final match, Alvor Greens played stablemates Alvor Amigos. The Greens were again unconvincing in a 49-38 victory, however once again the points were split four each.

Cats remain on top of the table on 28 points, Amigos are now the nearest challengers with 21 points, with Vikings on 20 and the Greens hanging on with 19 points. Harlequins also have 19, while Pedras are on 16 and Crusaders now rise to seventh with 14 points. Tigers have 13 with Gladiators and Vulcans both on 12 points.
