The São Lourenço Singers, under the leadership of music director Joyce Whitelaw, will return to the Dom José Beach Hotel in Quarteira on Friday, December 11 at 6.30pm for their annual Christmas Concert.
The concert programme will consist of international Christmas songs sung in English, Italian, Portuguese and German. Entrance is free and reservations are not required.
This will be a fundraising concert to benefit the Pirilampos children’s home. All donations will go to provide much-needed clothing and shoes for the children at Christmas. The Pirilampos Childrens’ Home is located about 5kms from Albufeira. It is run by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira and houses about 20 children. The house accepts both boys and girls so brothers and sisters can stay together. After the concert, children from Pirilampos will be present to collect donations.
