Examination results at I/GCSE and GCSE level this year placed the International School São Lourenço (ISSL) in the top 12% of all schools in the UK.
All students entered for the exams set by Edexcel and the Cambridge International Examination Boards passed their exams with 73% of students obtaining A* to C grades compared to the UK average of 68.9%.
Meanwhile, the A level results were also good for the school with every student securing their university place either in the UK or Holland.
Acting head teacher Beverley Stevens said: “All students, regardless of ability, have the opportunity to take examinations and the results are outstanding, especially for a non selective school.”
Céline Vandycke achieved A levels in French and Mathematics a year early and will complete three more A levels in Literature, Chemistry and Physics this year. |
She added: “We are extremely proud of our students and the commitment and enthusiasm they have shown. These results will inspire our current sixth formers to achieve an equally high standard next year.”
