Santa made a stylish entrance at the Forum Algarve shopping centre in Faro last weekend, marking the start of the mall’s festive season.
Hundreds of people watched in awe as Santa arrived in a sleigh pulled by real reindeer and accompanied by his many joyous helpers.
Santa is now available to meet children every day except Wednesdays until December 24, between 11am and 1pm, 3pm and 5.30pm, and 6pm and 8pm.
The “Christmas Village” is bigger than ever this year, now featuring a train, a virtual-reality sleigh ride with Santa, and a special playhouse for children. It will be open until January 7, closing for Christmas and New Year.
The ice rink is also the “largest the shopping centre has ever seen”.
