Santander Totta is ‘Best Bank in Portugal’

Santander Totta has been named ‘Best Bank in Portugal’ by American magazine Global Finance.
The vote came in the magazine’s annual ‘World’s Best Banks in Developed and Emerging Markets’ awards.
According to Global Finance, the criteria for choosing winners includes the bank’s ability to develop assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative products.
Says the magazine: “The mix of these factors yields leading banks that may not be the largest, the oldest or the most diversified in a given region, but rather the best – the banks with which companies around the world would most likely want to do business.”
Other winners included ING, the Dutch multinational, as ‘Best Bank in Western Europe’, and Raiffeisen Bank International, the Austrian banking group, as ‘Best Bank in Central & Eastern Europe’.
