Santa Claus will be arriving at the Forum Algarve shopping centre in Faro at 11am on Saturday, November 9.
A welcoming parade is planned and will see the jolly gift-bearer handing out the 13th edition of the ‘Livro do Gui’ book which aims to highlight the importance of protecting our oceans.
Another highlight will be the opening of Santa Claus Village, which promises to be a Christmas Wonderland for children who will be able to take photos with Santa and write letters to him, ride the Santa Claus train or play in a ball pit. The village will stay open until January 5.
There will also be an ice rink where visitors can test their skating skills. Also planned is an exhibition of 3D sea creatures created by students from local schools.
