Santa and his reindeer arrive at Forum Algarve

Santa will be arriving in style at the Forum Algarve shopping centre in Faro on Saturday (November 11) at 11am.

Pulled by his reindeer and joined by a merry crew of elves, snowmen and other cheery friends, the white-bearded gift-bearer promises to make a grand entrance.

His arrival marks the start of the shopping centre’s Christmas celebrations, with the opening of the “Christmas Village” and the ice rink.

“This will be an incredible and unique day for the whole family,” the mall says in a press statement.

The “Christmas Village” is bigger than ever, now featuring a train, a virtual-reality sleigh ride with Santa, and a special playhouse for children. It will be open until January 7, closing for Christmas and New Year.

The ice rink will also be the “largest the shopping centre has ever seen”.

Santa will be available to meet children every day except Wednesdays until December 24, between 11am and 1pm, 3pm and 5.30pm, and 6pm and 8pm.
