Sand storm

Fiesa, the international sand sculpture festival now in its seventh year, has closed following a demolition demonstration in which all could join in yesterday (Thursday).

This year the organisers of the sand sculpture festival, which opened to the public on May 22, decided to allow the public to help in the destruction or simply watch the bulldozers.

A total of 60 artists sculpted 35,000 tonnes of sand in an area of 15,000sqm to bring to life around 70 scenes that told the history of human discoveries through the ages.
