Sancerre Le Perrier

Sancerre Le Perrier – International wine of the week

In association with Prime Wine

This is a truly outstanding white, showing that the limestone soils of Sancerre in the upper Loire Valley can produce Sauvignon Blanc of the highest standards.

Sancerre Le Perrier is a wine that deserves a good few years in the bottle and this 2018 vintage is drinking beautifully right now. Citrus notes jump out on the nose with predominant notes of grapefruit and tangerine, steely and slightly saline in the mouth, with layers of white fruit flavours and solid acidity assuring that it will continue to improve with more bottle ageing.

This is a wine to enjoy with food, ideal to pair with oven-roast fish or even with roast poultry. Available in the Algarve exclusively from selected Pingo Doce supermarkets such as Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago (€23.69).
