Former Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend Sammy McIlroy is visiting the East Algarve on Monday May 24 for a talk at the Hotel Porta Nova in Tavira, at 8.30pm.
Sammy played over 400 games for Manchester United, he was the last youth player signed by Matt Busby making him the last of the Busby Babes. Sammy was capped 88 times for Northern Ireland, played in two World Cups and three FA Cup Finals.
The evening is a must for all football fans, hearing Sammy recall memories of playing alongside legends such as George Best, Pat Jennings and Martin O’Neill to name but a few. He talks about his early days in football and then life at the highest level of international football through to the current time as manager of second division Morecambe.
