Salir’s new old people’s home and nursery complex was inaugurated by the municipal authority of Loulé last Sunday. The building is connected to Salir’s community centre and will be able to care for 33 children between the ages of five months and three years, as well as housing 30 elderly residents. The new establishment, which cost €1.5 million and was paid for by the Loulé municipality, Social Security, Associação de Amigos de Salir and the local parish council, will also have a day care centre and domestic support services.
