Dear Editor,
We are just stunned to read that this beautiful piece of the Algarve will be wantonly destroyed. We have spent 12 years now in the Algarve, we do not come to see wall to wall concrete and hotels – look what was done in Spain. Yuck!
How very shortsighted of the mayor of the Silves Camara,.. as you noted, thousands of rooms sit empty now and if this natural habitat is destroyed, a lot of us will be less inclined to come… this is so sad …thanks for promoting the petition, we are sending it on to all our friends who care about the environment in the Algarve, formerly so beautiful and unspoiled … this is corporate vandalism.
