Penina || The Saint Andrew’s Society of the Algarve will be having its annual St Andrew’s Ball on Saturday, November 29. The Penina Hotel, near Portimão, will again be the venue for the event.
Starting at 7pm, participants will be greeted by the skirl of the pipes, played by piper Malcolm MacGillivray, as they make their way to a champagne reception. A buffet, accompanied by wine, will then be offered, followed by coffee and Atholl Brose.
For the 14th year running, the Society is bringing over from Scotland the talented ceilidh band The Sounds of Islay, who are guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor.
Tickets cost €40 for Society members and €42.50 for non-members. The Penina has special accommodation and golf offers for participants.
