Members of the Algarve St Andrew’s Society will be holding their annual St Andrew’s Ball at the Le Meridien Penina Hotel on November 26.
Flying in from Scotland will be the Sounds of Islay band, to entertain guests for the 11th year running. Piper Malcolm MacGillivray will also be playing at the event.
Guests will arrive to a champagne reception at 7pm, followed by a meal then traditional Scottish dancing.
The event promotes the opportunity to “air the glad rags and dig out the dancing shoes”.
Tickets cost €37.50 for members of the Society and €40 for non-members.
For guests looking to brush up on their Scottish dancing for the event, dancing sessions are held at the International School of the Algarve, Porches, on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
