LISBON IS the safest city in the EU, whereas London is the most dangerous to live in.
The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute commissioned research company Gallup to question 1,200 people from each city about their experiences.
Of those interviewed in Lisbon, only 10 per cent said that they had been a victim of a crime. In London, three out of 10 said they had been robbed or assaulted.
On a global scale, data from London suggests that the city is more dangerous than New York and Istanbul.
