Lagos council and Portugal’s infrastructure authority (IP) will invest €700,000 to set up five automatic pedestrian railway crossings at Meia Praia in Lagos.
Currently there are only signs warning pedestrians to be careful while crossing the track. Hopes are that the automated systems, which will be installed sometime next year, will reduce the risk of accidents in the area.
