Cameroon keeper Jules Stephane Goda is the latest addition to an almost completely rebuilt Portimão squad. The 22-year-old former Bastia and Marseille player has signed a one-year contract and will hope to fill the big gap left by the departed Ventura.
With the first official game of the new season against Cup opponents Moreirense due to take place this weekend, further additions to the team are midfielder Organista who has been playing in Bulgaria, forward Rafa, Brazilian trio Eliezio, Felipe Miranda and Jonas as well as ex-Trofense defender Ricardo Nunes.
Furthermore both captain Ricardo Pessoa and midfielder Jumisse now look likely to stay while former England schoolboy international Tristan Plummer (Bristol, Luton, Torquay, Hereford and Gillingham) and Senegalese central defender Papa Mor hope to conclude their respective trials at the club successfully.
