Residents of Foral de Larga Vista enjoyed a ‘Safari Supper’ recently to raise funds for Messines firefighters.
Members of this active international community ate each of the supper’s three courses at different houses, each time enjoying the company of different people.
The evening commenced at Restaurante O Foral for a pre-dinner aperitif before the guests set off on their various ‘safaris’ around the local area. After the wining and dining was complete, coffee and liqueurs were served back at the restaurant.
A spokesman for the residents’ group said: “Such events bring members of the community together socially and are a good way for newcomers to get to know their neighbours.
“This community has a long history of raising money for local charities and on this occasion an excellent €360 was raised for presentation to Messines Bombeiros.”
