A NEW recreational facility in S. Brás de Alportel, Quinta dos Avós, has been officially opened.
The new space is designed to host various events, such as weddings, christenings, business meetings and workshops, as well as sporting and cultural gatherings.
Town councillors attended the inauguration which was led by president of São Brás de Alportel Câmara, António Eusébio, who commented that Quinta dos Avós “will attract further investments to São Brás”.
The new development, located in an area that used to house olive trees and almond groves, has been adapted into a site that will meet the increasing needs of the town.
Quinta dos Avós boasts a spacious area with a marquee that can accommodate up to 500 people, as well as a kitchen, toilets, bar, children’s play area, garden benches, exotic trees, a pond and a car park with capacity for 60 vehicles.
