SNPVAC, the Portuguese syndicate of civil aviation cabin crew, has scheduled a 72-hour strike for all Ryanair flights from 00.00 hours on June 24 (Friday week) to 23.59 on June 26. The strike will apply to all services by SNPVAC members for Ryanair, including any instructions ordered by the low-cost airline. The strike is over issues of labour legislation that SNPVAC believe Ryanair is purposefully flouting in order to prejudice their staff. Says the syndicate: “Ryanair has a long history of illegalities and failings in complying with the law.”
