Russians arrested for kidnapping Romanian

PJ police have arrested three Russian nationals, two men and a woman, aged between 28 and 55, for kidnapping a Romanian, aged 42, and keeping him captive in his car for three days in Meco, Sesimbra. The kidnapping occurred on December 29, and “only brought to a halt at 1pm on January 1 following intervention of the PJ”, writes tabloid Correio da Manhã. The motive for this incident are still being clarified. There may be further suspects “who have not yet been localised”, says the paper. The Romanian was subjected to “beatings and abuse”, but did not require hospital assistance.
