Russia puts Portugal on list of ‘hostile countries’

Russia has today put Portugal on a list of hostile countries, to which it has said it will now be paying any debts it may have to them in … rubles (a currency that has devalued 45% since January). Following the United Nations vote last week, in which only five countries (including Russia itself) out of 193 refused to back condemnation of the invasion on Ukraine, it is not really a question of which countries are on Russia’s ‘hostile’ list, but which are not.
