More than 100 horses and riders gathered in Odemira on September 11 to take part in the fourth annual trek, Passeio, through the municipality situated in the Alentejo on the north western border of the Algarve.
The trek, which started at 9am, covered a distance of around 15 kilometres allowing participants to “view the natural beauty of the local area” and pass through the town of Odemira itself and the surrounding rural area.
After the trek a bullfight and traditional dancing took place in the Praça José Maria Lopes Falcão in Odemira for participants and guests.
