Runaway truck damages 13 cars in Lagoa

Witnesses say it was a “miracle” that no one was hurt when a runaway truck came rolling down a street in Lagoa, near the bus station, destroying three cars and damaging 10 others on Tuesday morning (April 18).The only reason it didn’t reach the EN125 was because it crashed into a street light pole, according to Correio da Manhã tabloid. The driver claims he had pulled the handbrake and left the motor running but that the handbrake must have loosened.
