A Rugby Festival Week was held at the Browns Sports and Leisure Club in Vilamoura from March 31 until April 4.
Throughout the week the British Army Rugby Union (current Armed Forces World Champions) played two fixtures against the three years running Portuguese Champions, GD Direito from Lisbon and the Newcastle Falcons from the AVIVA Premiership Rugby.
The first fixture against GD Direito took place on March 31 and the Army was victorious winning 59–14.
On April 4, the second fixture for the Army took place against the Newcastle Falcons, producing a tied score of 31–31.
To conclude the week, all teams and spectators came together at the Browns Sports Bar and Restaurant to celebrate Rugby in the Algarve.
