Silves’ deliciously juicy oranges will be the stars of the show on Portuguese cookery series ‘Ingrediente Secreto’, due to air next Saturday (May 30) on RTP2 at 7.30pm.
The show is hosted by Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, who travelled to the Algarve to learn more about Silves’ famous oranges.
Joaquim Rodrigues from the town’s MR Frutas was interviewed by the Chef and is expected to reveal some interesting information on the fruit.
He will also show viewers how the oranges are picked and treated before being sold.
“Ingrediente Secreto” is currently in its fifth season, which began on May 10.
Every episode focuses on one specific ingredient, giving recipes and cooking tips.
