Royal visit to Portugal

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have been asked by the British government to undertake an official visit to Portugal in a bid to highlight commercial diplomacy.

Prince Charles and Camilla will be beginning a tour of Portugal, Spain and Morocco in Lisbon on March 28 where the long standing cooperation between Portugal and Britain will be celebrated with an official dinner with Portuguese President Cavaco Silva. This will be the third visit for Prince Charles to Portugal but the first for the Duchess of Cornwall, with the couple expected to be supporting British trade and investment opportunities in Portugal as well as highlighting the work of the resident British community.
