Rotary Club Estoi Palace International continues to assist the Food Bank in the Algarve with its monthly distributions to participating underprivileged families in the Estoi parish.
A charity quiz evening to help provide financial support for this initiative will be taking place on October 28.
A spokesman from Rotary Club Estoi Palace International said: “Most of us take milk for granted but it is an essential part of every person’s diet, especially that of growing children.
“However, there are more than 50 families in the Estoi parish who are receiving a monthly food pack just to help them survive and milk is one of the most difficult items
to provide.”
The Rotary Club Estoi Palace International has made an annual commitment of €3,000 to provide two litres of milk per adult per month and six litres per child per month and continues to hold events to help fund this essential programme in the area.
The quiz will be taking place at Jardim do Vale at Vale Formoso in Almancil from 7pm. Entry to the quiz costs €20 per person and includes a three course set menu meal.
