Rotary Club Estoi Palace International (RCEPI), whose mission is to help those in need, has joined forces with the Rotary Club of Faro and are organising a gala dinner to raise funds for APAV (Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima).
The event will take place on Friday, March 4 at Hotel Eva in Faro at 7.30pm.
“Domestic violence has always been a very serious problem, but the lockdowns and confinements brought about by Covid-19 have exacerbated this issue,” say organisers.
“APAV is a national Portuguese association which helps these victims. Whether women, children or men, they all need support – material, legal, medical and social. We cannot ignore this scourge which affects all social classes.”
