Rotary Club Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) launched its first annual Virtual Cat Show on September 15.
“Do you have the purrfect pussy cat, the cutest kitten, the cat with the loveliest eyes, most magnificent whiskers? Then enter your feline friend into this fun virtual show!”
Says RCEPI, “in these challenging times, charities are more and more stretched as they are called on to fill gaps in government funding. The current Covid restrictions make traditional forms of fundraising very difficult and new ways have to be found to help those who need us”.
Rotary International is one of the largest humanitarian charities in the world with over 1.2 million members all committed to “Service above Self”. Funds raised by RCEPI from the Virtual Cat Show will go to help the impoverished in the local community.
RCEPI regularly helps the Faro Food Bank including purchasing a refrigerated truck for them. The Club also helped to provide a mobile breast screening unit and a mobile lung screening van for the Algarve Oncology Association, plus many other projects to help the disadvantaged in the community.
