Rotary Club Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) held a fundraising quiz lunch on October 2 at Tribulum Restaurant in Almancil.
Six teams battled it out and, in a very competitive finish, the Boston Dragons narrowly pipped the Cool Cats to the post.
“The Tribulum staff provided an excellent lunch and venue which everyone enjoyed,” said organisers. “RCEPI are very grateful to our sponsors Severa Construction, Jacks Locks, and Cardoso Drain Service for their willingness to support our projects.”
Due to the generosity of sponsors, participants, and other donations, the quiz raised €1,600.
The money will be used to support the Happy Bears project to purchase items for the orphanage in Faro and APEXA in Albufeira.
Funds will also be used to launch a project to help women who are subject to domestic violence. Both of these projects are expected to have a positive impact on the local community.
