The Rotary Christmas Market is taking place on the weekend of November 18-19 at the Arade pavilion (Centro de Congressos do Arade) in Parchal.
The event will feature the “very best of Algarve’s artisans, artists, gourmet food producers, craftspeople and antique merchants”.
“The spacious venue means that it’s easy to meet up with friends and get in the Christmas spirit over a coffee, beer, glass of wine or our wide selection of snacks,” according to the Rotarians in Iberia, a group of “community-minded people committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people in Portugal”.
The market will help raise funds for the Food Bank’s Farm Programme, say organisers.
It will be open between 11am and 5pm.
The venue is located on the main road into Ferragudo. As the market will be held inside the pavilion, weather won’t be an issue. There is also plenty of free parking.
The event is sponsored by the Algarve tourism board.
